Dear Colleague:
I am very pleased to announce that QMedRx, an APMA Corporate Member, has joined forces with our Clinical Practice Advisory Committee (CPAC) to develop an “Outcome Monitoring Tool” for patients
being treated for severe foot and ankle infections.
As you know, Evidenced Based Medicine (EBM) has become the “gold standard” when determining
appropriate treatment protocol for patients. Not only is EBM likely to significantly impact on patient care,
it is also likely to have a profound affect on insurance reimbursement.
The APMA is committed to being on the forefront of EBM and facilitating its use by our members. Please
join me in thanking QMedRx, Inc. for its initiative in bringing this opportunity to the APMA and for
developing this internet-based data collection tool.
QMedRx, Inc, a leading national home health care solutions company, will be collecting data on homebased
patients referred by APMA member podiatric physicians who receive IV antibiotics for various foot
and ankle infections.
The APMA through its CPAC will be evaluating the data collected for potential publication in peer
reviewed journals and/or use in future research projects.
We look forward to your use and support of this exciting new program and the value it will bring to our
patients.
Sincerely,

Christian A. Robertozzi, DPM
President
